TSA Authorized Locks
Allow TSA Officials to Search Luggage without Cutting Lock |

Travel Sentry™ is the new industry standard for luggage
locks. Thanks to Travel Sentry™, it is now possible to
lock your luggage again when you fly. Since January 2003
the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has asked
passengers to leave their baggage unlocked or risk their
locks being cut off. The TSA uses the Travel Sentry™
system which works like this:
1.
Each Travel Sentry™ Certified lock has a unique red and
white diamond which alerts the TSA that this is a lock
they can open.
2.
Each lock has engraved upon it a special code which the
TSA uses and helps them identify how to open that
particular lock.
3.
The TSA has special codes and tools which allow it to open
your lock, inspect the bag, and then relock and send it on
its way. |
